Abstract Expressionists. Working with acrylic, collage and watercolor

Bright coloration's are his forte. The clear sunny western landscape
stimulates his use of pure primary colors creating an intense
visual impact. He enjoys sketching realistic natural subjects
and has recently been exploring the decorative potential of the
Rio Grande valley themes and contributions of the Hispanic and
Native American crafts and symbolism.
Walt Yoder and his wife, Bonnie, live in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Here they have been ale to interact with a large community of
arts and crafts persons. Walt has found this exciting atmosphere
help to provide him with creative inspiration.
Walt had a full career as a university teacher and administrator
before beginning his career as a painter. He has taught at Michigan
State University, Arizona State University and at University of
New Mexico. His images can be found in several respected galleries
